Kuari Fall

Location: Indian Himalaya

The descent from the high pass was long, but the last of the fall colors framed a picturesque meadow that was our final campsite. When the rain started and the others retired to their tents, I remained in the dining tent to capture the iridescent trees, contrasting so sharply with the high snow-covered peaks surrounding us. The heavy rain battered the leaves and when the storm was over, only a handful of leaves remained and only my sketch retained the memory of the beautiful fall colors.
